No man is an island, just like no flavour is alone. The robust flavours of Nasi Lemak can only be possible by intertwining a diverse range of ingredients – much like Malaysia where all cultures intermingle in harmony, forming an inseparable part of us.

OUR PAST ACTIONS
Faith in Humanity is a social media series to highlight the exceptional efforts of Malaysians amidst COVID-19, through which 8 amazing individuals and organisations were featured. The project served as a channel which shares awe-inspiring stories and spreads positivity.
The Nasi Lemak Movement’s virtual music night was organised to raise funds for the beneficiary, “Meals 4 Medics” to get COVID-19 test kits for our hospitals. Through this event, we raised a total of RM30,120.00 for Meals 4 Medics.
A one-month virtual fundraising initiative, spanning from 15 August 2021 through 12 September 2021. The initiative will be raising funds for Pertubuhan Sukarelawan Membasmi Kebuluran Malaysia (Hunger Hurts), a youth-led non-government organisation driven to eradicate poverty in Southeast Asia. The organisation has been channeling aid towards families with members who have disabilities, have limited food supply, have small children with a need for pampers and milk, are out of employment since the enforcement measures are in place, as well as with five dependents in the house. This is indicative of the fact that Hunger Hurts tries to help as many people as possible who have been impacted. By selecting Hunger Hurts as a beneficiary, 100% of the funds collected from this initiative would be channeled to Hunger Hurts’ existing project, Feed a Kid, which was initiated to provide underprivileged families across Malaysia with a month’s worth of basic necessities and groceries to ease their financial burden.
The e-sport tournament is a two-day event with a 32-team cap, where participants will be playing the popular PC game Valorant. The tournament’s knockout rounds will be streamed via Facebook Live and audience members will be given the opportunity to watch the tournament while supporting a good cause via donations in the chat section.
Similar to the preceding Teh Ais-o-Late, the three-hour virtual concert will be joined by guest performers and live-streamed for free on Facebook, with the fundraising link pinned to the sidebar. The concert will also feature a sharing session from the beneficiary themselves to provide insight on how they have been helping families in need.
